How to make a claim At Moonrock

We believe Claims should be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Our Insurer partners will deal with your claims directly to avoid unnecessary delays and make sure we deliver on this aim. You must give notice immediately or as soon as is reasonably practicable of any claim, loss occurrence, incident or circumstance likely to give rise to a claim under your policy


For all claims

You will need to:

  • Provide your policy number
  • Provide full details of the claim, including the date, circumstances of loss and applicable telemetric data, log books and other records in connection with the drone, which shall be kept up to date; a copy of the PFAW/GVC permit to fly (if applicable); and a copy of the drone training course/school/academy certificate or course booking (if applicable).
  • Contact the police immediately in respect of any theft or malicious damage
  • Contact the insurers claims team using the details provided below
  • You should not make any attempt at replacement or repair of items without written authorisation from your insurer
  • You must send any claim, writ or summons as soon as you receive it.

Important notes

  • Do not negotiate, pay or settle, admit or deny any claim without our or your insurer’s written permission.
  • You must also notify us in writing of any impending prosecution, inquest or fatal accident enquiry.
  • Failure to do any of the above may result in your claim being delayed or rejected.
  • Your claim cannot be dealt with quickly and efficiently until the insurers have received all the necessary information and supporting documentation. It is important to provide as much detail and supporting evidence as possible, failure to do so will inevitably result in a delay.
  • Dependent upon the circumstances of the claim, the underwriters reserve the right to request additional documentation or information as required.
